Ryan Lewis will line up second for the first of two Avon Tyres British Formula 3 Scholarship rounds which takes place at Donington Park tomorrow. The 20 year-old, who comfortably leads the championship after 12 rounds, finished second behind his main series rival Stephen Jelley who is seeking his maiden win in the series.
“I simply overdrove it today I think,” said Ryan. “We've looked at the data from the last time we were here back in April and I can see where I need to improve, it's just a bit frustrating that I've got to wait until tomorrow. I know what I have to do though and hopefully we can improve for the second session and tomorrow evening's race.”
With this weekend's double-header race meeting supporting the FIA GT and European Touring Car Championships, the schedule is stretched, with tomorrow's second qualifying session at 13.30 and the first of two races at 18.45.
Sunday's second race will conclude the weekend's racing and is scheduled to start at 17.55.
