Lewis gains BRDC Rising Star status

Ryan Lewis has been selected for BRDC Rising Star membership In recognition of his staggering performance in the 2004 Avon Tyres British Formula 3 Scholarship. Twenty year-old Lewis won 17 rounds from 24, with 17 fastest laps and 15 pole positions to win the title with five rounds still in hand. Only 40 drivers are nominated as BRDC Rising Stars at any one time and selection is by invitation only.

The Royston driver has won back-to-back titles after clinching last year's Visma Software Formula Palmer Audi Championship and is expected to embark on a full season in British Formula 3 next year in the championship class. He is currently undergoing a testing programme with Brackley-based T-Sport, the team which took him to the title this year.
