Ryan Lewis completed another successful test session at Snetterton this week in preparation for his assault on the 2004 British Formula 3 Scholarship. The 19 year-old Formula Palmer Audi Champion, who will contest the Championship with T-Sport, completed more than 200 miles around the Norfolk track, his first full day in near-perfect conditions.

“It went really well at Snetterton,” said Ryan. “The track conditions were great, the first time I've had a whole day out in the dry, and I think I learnt a lot. There's still a lot more to come time wise, particularly in the slow corners, but there's a lot to learn about driving these cars and getting the best out of them so I want to get into it gradually.”

Despite the day's session being cut short after a red-flag incident, both Ryan and T-Sport Team Manager Russell Eacott were happy with the improvements made throughout the day and both remain confident that there is more to come from the Royston teenager.

“The morning was spent getting used to the track and the car as this was his first full day in dry conditions,” said Russell. “He found a full second from the morning to the afternoon session and is now really beginning to look like a Formula 3 driver. It was a particularly productive day in that again he steadily improved throughout the sessions and I'm sure he can easily find another half a second before the season kicks off at Donington next month.”

Ryan will continue his extensive testing programme with a day at Silverstone on Friday before heading to Oulton Park next Tuesday and Wednesday.
