Marlboro Masters of F3
Zandvoort, Netherlands - 11/12 June 2005
The 15th running of the Marlboro Masters of F3 takes place next weekend at Zandvoort in Holland and Britain's Ryan Lewis is one of the drivers looking for a good result in one of F3's most prestigious events. Along with the Macau Grand Prix, a win at the Masters is a coveted prize for today's young drivers.
The Masters is an invitational race and only the best drivers and teams from all of the Formula 3 Championships are selected to take part; this means it is the best racing the best. This will be Ryan Lewis' first attempt at the Masters. “I'm really excited to be taking part in the Masters with T-Sport”, commented Ryan. “I think most of the Euroseries and British F3 runners are entered so it will be a hard fought race. The British guys are at a bit of a disadvantage as the Euroseries drivers already race with Kumho tyres and will have raced at Zandvoort before; I've never even been to Holland! We had a good test last week with the tyres though and the car feels good on them so I'm hoping we can get stuck in and put on a good show for everyone.”
Previous winners of the Masters include David Coulthard, Takuma Sato, Christian Klien and Jos Verstappen. A good result at the Marlboro Masters of F3 is an important addition to any driver's CV as it is a showcase event for all F3 drivers.
