Ryan Lewis took to the Silverstone National circuit today, the 19 year-old Formula Palmer Audi Champion, clocking up more than 150 miles in his T-Sport Dallara Mugen-Honda F3 Scholarship car. More than 100 laps were completed by the Royston teenager, who posted a quickest time of 53.3s.

”I'm very happy with the whole day today,” said Ryan. “It was very difficult to get a clear lap as there was just so much slow traffic out there, but I managed to sort out my technique for Copse and Luffield corners. I think generally I've been losing out in the braking areas, braking either too hard or too early and not carrying the speed through but that's something I'm working on.”

T-Sport Team Manager Russell Eacott was also pleased with the day's performance and praised his young driver's steady improvement throughout the day. “We're pleased, it was another useful day, more than 150 miles to add to the 200 he completed at Snetterton and it's very encouraging to see how much he improved on a new set of tyres,” said Russell. “He managed to get to grips well with Copse and Luffield, which will be useful for when we race here later in the year and things are looking good for next week's two day test.”

Ryan's testing schedule will continue at Oulton Park next Tuesday and Wednesday, prior to the season start, at Donington Park on 3/4 April.
