In his third different make of car in as many days, FPA Champion Ryan Lewis set tongues wagging at Oulton Park yesterday when he drove the Manor Motorsport Formula Renault car to tenth place overall, in anticipation of racing for the team this weekend. Fresh from his successful F3 test with Team SYR, and lifting the FPA crown at the weekend, Ryan had his first full test in the Championship winning team's car yesterday, beating the times of the other Manor Motorsport drivers.
Despite only completing two full sessions at the Cheshire track, Ryan was pleased with his performance, setting a time just 1 second off the quickest, and now looks forward to a successful outing when the weekend kicks off with Saturday's qualifying.
βI'm really pleased with how things went,β said Ryan. βIt's not easy jumping from FPA, to F3 and FRenault, but I think things went really well, it's a very close championship and to be just a second off is promising. Now I'm looking forward to racing this weekend where I'll be doing my best to get a good result in both races.β
