Championship leader Ryan Lewis lines up on the front row for the eighth round of the Visma Software Formula Palmer Audi Championship at Brands Hatch tomorrow. The 19 year-old, who won at Monza and has also taken four second places will also start the day's seventh round from the second row and remains confident for both races held around the historic Grand Prix track.
“I said before the meeting that I was feeling good about this weekend and I still am,” said Ryan. “The car felt great throughout both sessions, but I was held-up badly and wasn't able to get a clear lap. A bit disappointing really when it was by some of the front runners not using their mirrors properly! But still I understand Brands isn't the ideal circuit to be on pole for, so we'll have to see what happens tomorrow for the races.
“As I expected Adam (Smith) has bounced back after his problems in Monza and will definitely be strong tomorrow, but I feel that I can win both races and that's what I'll be aiming for.”
Ryan's Team Lewis team-mate Niki Faulkner dropped to tenth on the grid for the first race, after a post-session decision to disallow the final lap meant he lost his sixth place. He recovered in the second session though and will line up on the second row for the day's eighth round.
