RYAN LEWIS BACK ON TRACK THIS WEEKEND Ryan Lewis will drive the Momentum Race Group Riley Technologies built Chevrolet Camaro in the Grand Sport Class of the Grand Am Continental Tire Series this weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park. This will be Ryan's first outing in the Grand Am series, one that has been a long time coming.
"It's great to finally be on the grid for a Grand Am race,” he said. “It is something I have been working on for a long time now so I am pretty anxious to roll out for practice on Thursday."
Ryan is already no stranger to sportscar racing this year having shared driving duties in PR1's LMPC car at Laguna Seca in May.
"For sure there are big differences between an LMPC car and the Camaro I will be driving this weekend,” continued Ryan. “The Camaro is an iconic American muscle car so it's a pretty cool car to be returning to tin tops in. I have not raced with a roof over my head for a few years now but I can't wait to get out there and do some door handling. Whenever I watch the Continental Tire races the racing is always super tight, so hopefully I will be at the sharp end of it."
Ryan has recently welcomed support from Nelson Family Capital Management (NFCM.us) and the Dallas based online bartering community Eborhood.com.
"I am confident that myself and Jordon are going to be competitive this weekend. Jordon has a wealth of experience with the Camaro and a unsurpassed background as an engineer. This will certainly make my job much easier first time out in the car. After a promising start to the race at Laguna which was cut short, it will be great to bring in a result for my partners Mobotix, The High Res Video Company, LKM Recycling two new partners NFCM.us and Eborhood.com.” ENDS
